Our ground floor flat (on the right side) is 65 square meters with ceilings that are 2.80m high. The front rooms face north, while the kitchen and bathroom are south facing. All the doors have been restored to their original (unpainted) state. The flooring we have used is natural cork - beautiful, robust and excellent at keeping in heat and keeping out cold. The walls have been completely replastered from the brick work up, with a chalk plaster overcoat and chalk paint finish. The walls themselves have been impregnated against damp in the cellar beneath the flat, so you will stay warm and dry. Unusually, each room also has double light fittings, so you can introduce enough light to overcome any feelings of darkness you might expect from a ground floor flat.

The bedroom and livingroom are 15qm each, with a cork floor and two Typ 33 radiators for more than enough heat capacity in winter.

The kitchen is a spacious 20 square meters, opening out onto the garden.

The bathroom has been reduced to around 10 square meters (with a shower, sink and wall-hanging (easy-clean) toilet) to make space for a small "archive".

The generous hallway leads directly to the kitchen, bedroom, living room, and archive, in which you can store documents and other items out of direct sight.

The flat costs 6EUR per square meter "kalt". This comes to 390EUR per month. This is less than the average rental price for the area, because it matters to us to find people we like who love to live here long-term. Extra costs needed to cover heating, electricity and water typically come to 150EUR per month. The deposit is a standard 3 months. Our contracts have no hidden clauses, and carefully clarify both your and our rights and responsiblities.
